Holster for a 586

Looks like I bought myself a 586 with a 6 inch barrel.
Anyone have any opinions on what a good, comfortable holster would be for range use...
Also, if anyone knows who sells aftermarket grips for the same please let me know.

Depends on what "range use" entails for you and what material you want. If you want leather, check out Joe Laroche's stuff at:

Joe is Canadian, prices are reasonable, service and quality excellent.

I believe the 586/686 use the K frame grip so they will have a huge amount of aftermarket support available. For grips I would look at Hogue first. They will ship to Canada and offer a zillion options in shape and materials.

The 586 and 686 are L frame revolvers

They are L frame indeed but they use the same grips as a K frame

My 2 all time favorites are old Ernie Hill's and the Safriland Cup Challenge. You need to be a bit patient to find nice one's but they do come up often enough. Both have great style and work great for general or competition use.
