what are you guys using for your redhawks with the 4.2 inch barrel?

im thinking of a milt sparks, but the wait time could be a killer. i was thinking the 200AW would be good.

so any suggestions? something that would be good for carry in the bush would be good too. so secure, discreet and unlikely to fall out but quick access(and before the forum lawyers step in this is done legally by me)

can you post a pic of any suggestions.
thanks

I'm also interested in a holster for my 4.2"
While I've been cleared for "holster" use at my range I think I'd get some strange looks from the RO if I used Hickok45's "outfitter" chest rig;)
Pancake81 posted some pics of his nice leather holster in another thread.

Hey guys,

This is the one I use,

http://www.amazon.com/Galco-Outdoorsman-Holster-Redhawk-Right-hand/dp/B001RMUPQO

Wife ordered it right from Amazon for me. It's a great holster, but I do have one complaint. The Rentention snap is one the outside, so you have to lift up with your fingers on the outside of the holster, as appose to releasing the snap by pushing down with your thumb.

Hope that makes sense. As a range or bush holster it's great. For quick draw, it would lack. lol

I had Joe Laroche make me a holster and speedloader carrier for my 5.5" Redhawk. Excellent quality, fast turn around (less than 2 weeks I think it was), very reasonable price.

I got a molded thumb break for the Redhawk: http://www.geocities.com/larocheleathers/holsters.html

A couple of poorly lit pictures:

It fits the gun perfectly, even without the snap closed it won't fall out on its own and carries very well. If had a wilderness ATC this is the gun and holster I would use.

Very nice Mark, I'm looking for a rig like that for my 4.2'' Redhawk as well as the OP. I was thinking about a Mernickle or Bianchi, but I'll check Loroche Leathers as well.

how much was that? how does he size it up to your revolver?

I bought it 2 years ago and I think it was ~$130 for everything shipped to me, maybe a bit less (going by my leaky memory).

No idea how he blocks it to the gun, but the fit is excellent. Just tell him how long the barrel is and he can cut the length to suit.
