Ok guys. I am just about to go to bed. I have faith that when i wake up in the morning, that the holster shown below will be identified. Don't let me down!!:)

It's a soft shell holster. A pocket for a mag on the front of the holster. inside the holster is a pocket for a cleaning rod. The flap has two slits cut into it to allow the the metal clasp and leather strap to be closed in 2 different positions. The two slits look original or were down a very long time ago. the square flap of leather on the back side of the holster, when flipped over has 3 very faint letters about 1/2 high very lightly pressed into it. They look like they were made by a die but could be a very steady free hand as well. hard to tell. the 3 letters are: K B S.

I'm thinking post-war Norwegian for a P-38, but I am only guessing here. more of a gut feel that I have seen this holster some where a long time ago.

What's the purpose of the back flap being split and having a D ring installed?

..and no, i dont wear this around the house with my Wii controller inside of it.

It's obviously a holster for a wii remote. :p

Could the D ring be for attachment to one of those single shoulder straps? Like the Sam Browne? My guess is it's French.

French is sounding more plausible. It couldnt be for the German P35, i have seen those holsters and its not it. Also the attaching system is not of the style of WW2 Germany. As well, the mag pouch seems for a single stack.

Delsins is that an educated deduction, or are you throwing out a possibility?

Thanks guys!

EDIT to Add: Delsins is correct. With the search narrowed down, I was able to find a pic. Only difference was that the leather was tan. The D ring attached to the shoulder strap webbing. Eos, I would suspect that it may have also been used for the 1935 model as well.
