Holster recommendation for CZ SP01 Shadow

Website says their lead time is 6-8 weeks....

Common holster though, perhaps they have them in stock.

Otherwise = Blade-Tech

I’m not sure if Tim keeps stock. I’m fairly sure it’s a 2 person show, he handles production and his wife handles paperwork, so you’re money is literally going towards a Canadian ‘mom & pop shop’

I’m a newbie so for now it would mostly be for the range. I might consider competing in the future though

Newbie or not, if you have the funds, get a proper holster, mag carriers and gun belt. Don’t buy one size fits all, Nylon, Fobus or Blackhawk Serpas. You won’t outgrow a well made holster unless you sell the gun. Another Solely Canadian fan. Bladetech is also popular.

I love the Soley Canadian products for their fit and function but would not recommend them to a new handgun owner with a CZ SP-01 . They fit right tight to the waist which would be great for a lighter striker fired polymer , typical daily concealed carry ( which rules most of us out ) or for experienced handgun competition shooters. A new shooter with a heavy steel hammer fired handgun would probably be better off with a Bladetech , Comptac or similar holster for easy efficient access. A solid belt ( 1 3/4” ) will be a must to prevent the Shadow from flopping around like a framing hammer at a carpenters obstical course race.

I have a Blade-Tech DOH for my Shadow and it works well. The drop offset hanger, (after a heat gun mod for me), is fine for IPSC, and I can remove that part for IDPA. Good way to get into the game to try both. You may want a different holster if you get seriously into these sports.
