Holster Recommendations Ruger Redhawk

Hello,

I have finally entered the wonderful world of handguns at a grand old age of 50+. I have acquired a Ruger Redhawk with a 7.5" barrel. I was wondering if someone could provide some suggestions for a shoulder holster for it.

You probably wanna order a nice leather one from the states. If your carrying for long periods of time you want more than an Uncle Mikes special.

I carry mine on the hip in a leather holster.
 
A good outfit to deal with is thelastbestwest.com. They're in Alberta, so you're buying Canadian, and their toll free is 1-866-207-1909. They make some great holsters, and you can customize yours to exactly what you want. I'm thinking of having them make me a western gun belt and holster for my revolver.
 
Um.... just before you leap into a shoulder holster you might want to check the range rules. Every club I've ever seen specifically prohibits shoulder holsters due to the fact that it is impossible to draw from the holster without sweeping half the line. All the clubs and shooting organizations are hip only. And even among those groups only cowboy action shooting allows cross draw holsters. But they ALL prohibit shoulder holsters.
