^^ holster to fit my pocket pistol ^^

You'd have to carry unloaded as I believe it would be "in transport". Personally, I'm all for fully taking advantage of any and all freedoms you can, but I can see this ending badly...

"Safety Regulations

Under the Firearms Act, antique firearms must be stored, displayed and transported unloaded.

If you are transporting your antique firearms and need to leave them unattended*, leave them in your vehicle’s locked trunk or similar compartment. If your vehicle does not have a trunk or compartment, lock the vehicle and leave the antique firearms inside and out of sight.

Antique handguns must be locked in a heavy-duty, non-see-through container that cannot be easily broken open during transportation."

does this mean you can't have it loaded while in the bush? this is too grey for me, not sure if i would carry that around. nice gun though! love the antiques :)

None of those apply, as when the OP has it in the bush with him, it is not being stored, displayed, or transported. It is in that fourth and only other possible state a firearm, can be in the great nation of Kanuckistan. It is, "In Use."

So long as you follow reason, and act as a reasonable person should, problems are very unlikely to arise. Remembering, that a game warden will still likely consider to be a firearm, as far as legal hunting purposes go, and the police and courts, will DEFINITELY consider it a firearm, if it is used in any improper assaultive manner. I say these only as information, as I seriously cannot see the OP being the type to run afoul of any of these scenarios.

Yep while "IN USE" it is not being transported and also under your direct supervision.

I will continue to take mine in the bush. I want more freedoms and I will exercise the ones I already have.

I can see a run on antique pistols and their value going through the roof. I've always wanted a spencer rifle but they are 32 rimfire no? Ammunition must be hard to come by, and for those that don't reload.

NAA.

"...it is 100% legal for me to..." Whoever told you that lied to you.
"•manufactured before 1898 that can discharge only rim-fire cartridges, other than 22 Calibre Short, 22 Calibre Long or 22 Calibre Long Rifle cartridges."

I would bet dollars to doughnuts that is a .32rf.
