Holsters for M&Ps

I was looking for information-duty/tactical/shoulder/drop/belt-you know. Nothing specific just information

Ya, depends on how you want it to sit on your hip? I had a couple for mine. I liked the Desantis thumb break scabbard the best. You can order them on the Smith & Wesson site for $65 US. Leather, fits snug to your body, just takes a few times to break it in.

For folks who "can't carry" or don't carry for a living why the fetish with level 2 retention holsters, and a crappy one at that? Sorry, don't mean to hijack the thread just curious as to why one would want more retention devices than is necessary, especially for the gamers.

Sounds like he wants to buy a holster that's available, fits and isn't total junk, that's the main strength of the CQC. If he'd asked what the BEST holster for an M&P was, the answer would have been different.

You can't go wrong with a Blade-Tech. Either the inexpensive injection-molded models or the more expensive hand-molded kydex are good to go.

For that matter, the $25 Uncle Mikes kydex is a fine holster too. I use one of them for my old-school S&W autos.

Maybe he isn't a gamer.

Well, seeing how no dept issues the M&P yet and if they did they would issue a holster, I'm going to say he qualifies as a "mere citizen" and doesn't require a level 2 or greater holster as he most likely does not carry for a living. Either way I was just curious why the great migration to the serpa series holsters. The Safariland above is a far superior holster and is reasonably priced.

Do you not have anything better to do than p*ss in everyone else's cornflakes?

Its ok, you can call me a #### without offering any respect. I'll sleep fine without it. back to the thread.

OP do you have an M&P now or are you concerned about holster selection before purchasing a pistol??
