Hi everyone,
not sure if this is the right section but I am looking for some holster options for a Sig P226 DA/SA clone and possible for a S&W SD9VE as well. I'd like a small profile OWB leather that is friction retention only for drawing at the range. Does anyone have any favorites they can share, preferably those that are budget conscience? Looking to test out some options on the cheap, does not have to be leather either, any options are good.

Thanks

I like the GCODE OSH holsters with RTI. Allows me to switch holsters out in seconds for a different gun and you don't need to take off your belt to do it. They have an adjustable retention screw so you can set the retention to what you like. They unfortunately have no leather options just kydex. I also have a sig clone so I know they will work with your 226.

I found my leather Glock 19 holster to work well with the SD9VE. Same with the M&P40 holster(or 9). I am sure there are model specific holsters out now but I wasnt going to sink any more money into it if I already had stuff that worked well.

...and I'm told it can have a dual usage/purpose. :p

I buy ebay Chinese knock offs of Fobus holsters for $5.00 USD. They mail to the house.

On Search type SIG 226 holster. Cost is $8.50, with shipping.

Are they any better than the real Fobus of which the 2 I had were shyte?

I like Comp Tac kydex.

I second this. Great holsters.

“It’s unwise to pay too much, but it’s worse to pay too little. When you pay too much, you lose a little money — that is all. When you pay too little, you sometimes lose everything, because the thing you bought was incapable of doing the thing it was bought to do. The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot — it can’t be done. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.”

— Known as the Common Law of Business Balance often attributed to John Ruskin.

If you are looking for a custom leather holster for your Sig P226, I'd be happy to make you one to your specifications.

Contact me and we can discuss it!

For kydex I would look at Soley Canadian.

For leather, High Noon Holsters has these on sale right not for 25% off.

April25 I believe is the discount code.

That style should work well for a range holster.

Take Care
