Holsters

I'm really just getting started into PPC and CDP (or ODPL). I'll be shooting a Ruger GP100 (6" barrell) and a CZ 85 Combat.

So; what types of holsters are best for PPC and CDP (I understand I may want two holsters for each gun)? and where is a good place to buy them?

I shoot both IDPA and PPC and use the same holster and gun for both. I use an Uncle Mikes Kydex paddle for my Sig P226 and it works great. It all boils down to what works best for you. You can get concealment type holsters and/or competition type for PPC. If you can find a holster for each gun that works well for both disiplines, you have it made. Give Double tap Sports a call, they have Blade tech and a good stock from what I hear and he is great to deal with.

I've had a few guys buy the CR Speed WSMII for PPC revolvers lately, although I'm sure that it would not be approved for CDP...

I actually just picked up aSafariland holster meant for a 5" GP-100 and I will say that if works really slick for a 6" GP-100. (20mm of barrel sticks out the end of the holster).

I have tried out a Don Hume, an unknown Kydex, and the Safariland for it.

I'll try and get some images.
