As someone who is just getting back into sks's after 20 years or so.
Stripper clips really ?
All surplus we bought back in the day came on them and we just left them where they fell .
Someone should almost mine gravel pits for those suckers.

Yeh, the LGS here is selling Russian strippers for $5 each !! And I saw NCStar going for $20 for 10, and those need 'remediation' to work right. Some people on 'some forums' are cutting their's in half for the 5-round limit. I'm optimistic that someday . . . so I just wrap 1/2 with Electric tape ;-P Lucky that I got about 25 with the last SKS I bought. And I had bought Czech ammo on strippers back when,so had many left.

And now I have a Tapco setup - the mags will load with strippers, just need to 'open' the guide on the carrier a tiny bit.

really....
I have lots of stripper clips from czech surplus..... from a few crates of the same ammo.
My sks's don't load from stripper clips so maybe they will end up on the ee

Had an SKS as one of my first guns and had kept most if not all of the stripper clips i've come across over the years. I do have about five of them that i split for 5 round chargers, but got probably a hundred more intact neatly packed away. Funny how such a cheap strip of metal can accumulate a lot of value over the years. Kept the most of them intact in the fruitless hopes that we'll be allowed 10 rounds in an SKS someday.

Most of them I was given, picked up or got with cans of ammo.

I have a 5 gallon bucket or two of them at the farm. We were not allowed to leave scrap metal on the ground. Maybe more than 2 buckets. All the metal was saved to recycle...but has not yet been recycled.

Nobody should have to pay what many are asking on the EE for these. They came free, more or less, with ammo, now many are trying to gouge for them. I have given many away in the past for the price of shipping and will continue to do so as I get more. Share the clips people!

Great attitude.
I have given away various gear to those who could use it when supply and opportunity come together .
And have been on the recieving end as well.

Never understood why people cut them in half. I just load them with ten and flip them. I’ve seen others put shrink tube on one end to keep them at five.

When I got my PAL back beginning of 2020 I bought an SKS off a friend with 700 rounds of Czech surplus in a crate for $250. Looking back now, what a steal for a gun in stellar condition.
Anyway, all the ammo came individually packed on stripper clips. I never gave it a thought to throw them out and I'm glad I didn't. I've been reloading the empty stripper clips with Chinese surplus as I've used the Czech stuff.

Oh doubling the cost of a type 81 is perfectly fine because "supply and demand" but God forbid someone get a couple bucks each for their clips lol I'm bumping mine up to $4 now£ haha (kidding)

well I still have an unopened crate of ammo on strippers along with a pile of strippers sitting around in my salvage bin.

for $2/ea I may have to look at selling some.

Oh and x54 clips I have a bunch of those too, mostly the simple metal ones but I have 3 older brass ones that I am hanging on to.

Kudos on your generousity but remember that at one time Enfields sold for $20 and now they are $800. Garands were $100 and now they are $2500. Everything gets hit by by inflation.

Wonderful collecting opportunity considering wide variety of milsurp stripper clips for sale especially if you get really nerdy and start looking at different dates, manufacturers, materials etc.
