Impressive, wondering how long that rifle spent outside.

A guy from my old moose gang dropped a brand-new high end Leupold in a swamp one year. It had expensive EAW rings with matched
claw mounts on his Sako. Searched in vain for hours to find it with no luck, so it spent a year trapped in the swamp until the following hunt season
when it was found with the help of a $60 metal detector.

Rings had lost their bluing but had not rusted, scope was as good as new, the guy is still using the same setup.

Oh...what the hell...if someone's gonna say it why not me, it will after all get me my goat!

How long before it goes on the EE... "Like-new Zeiss scope, rifle has genuine hunting wear...."

Here's mine, rifle and Zeiss scope had been ripped out of my saddle scabbard by #@&*! thick willows during a mountain descent in a creek canyon at dusk. Laid underwater over night, found and recovered the next morning, given a shake and a wipe, and went on to help me shoot a nice caribou that afternoon. I like Zeiss scopes.

Who the heck loses a rifle? I mean seriously. What a moron. Impressive scope, though. I have not owned a Zeiss...yet. Only Leupolds. Maybe it's time to try one!

Recently I heard about a whole bunch of people claiming to loose a rifle in a boating accidents. Curious detail - it was either swiss gun or czech gun. True story.
