Holy Grail

You've been looking for awhile haven't you?
I have been--I know there are some out there! I've even checked Gunbroker and saw a super-early model in beautiful almost unfired shape. It would have been around $6500 to get it here, though! :p

In the meantime, though, I may not have quite found my Holy Grail, but located something else I'd been looking for for a while—a 3" S&W CS-1 Customs Service revolver.

Us&s 1911a1

Of the "attainable" WWII USGI 1911A1 .45ACP pistols mine is the Union Switch & Signal mfg one. Made in 1943 only with a total production of approximately 55,000 it's my "holy grail"....

Was lucky enough to score a decent example of a few years back....

I'll give you five hundred for it:p BTW are you going to the Duncan gun show this Sunday?

I wish S&W would make a 4.25" version of their 625 in .45ACP for us non 12-6 people. I'd settle for a S&W M&P R8 or 627 VComp.

What about a Singer in about 85%?
Mine was HK P7's, now may try for a 210, Had a early S-W 686 3" Lew Horton for the US border guys, nicest S-W I ever shoot, and I could shoot it better than my 8 in .
