Holy MOly lots of m14 poly's

Poly Tech was the original company that starting importing Chinese firearm into the North American market, I have heard about them back in the '80.

Basically all the Chinese made M305/M14S by the same factories, just branded to what ever company ordered them, be it Norinco or Poly Tech.

I have never heard of that brand name. What do you guys think of em?

I've looked over a couple and I've been impressed. I was just telling Stormbringer that the Zhinese high school shop class assembly kids have been stepping up their quality control lately. :D

Here it comes.....

Don't Buy ONE!

Buy TWO of them!

I've owned about 3 of the 2003 - 2006 series of Norinco M14 boomsticks and they are progressively improving their QC. I particularly like the PolyTech series because the synthetic stock is not soaked with carcinogenic sperm reducing PCB laden mystery WHMIS nightmare oil :D ..... Wow, that was a long one. No need to spend more $$ on a USGI Synthetic stock.

Hey, remember that Epps is a CGNutz board sponsor and they (Wes, Doug and gang) are super step up kinda guys this hobby needs! I mean to say that as business people, they identify a need/niche and then do their best to fill it. So much so, I've been carrying out secret weekly trips over there. Often I have to dress incognito so that customers (especially CGNutters) don't recognize me and then continue to ask me for M14 advice; yada, yada, yada!

No seriously folks, ask away. That's why I'm here... It's all about building community in the light/ context of Wendy the CooKoo and spineless Moronto Mayor David Miller accusing us of being potential gangbanger supply outlets!! There, I'm off the SOAPBOX now! :nest:

So get out there and support your local gun shops!! See you Bantario CGNutters at Epps this weekend... down in the gunroom. Bring napkins for my drooling! :p

There you are sir. May tickle some peoples fancy, but if you ask me they're tacky looking. I don't like the pattern. The flat black is ###y though.

Yes, flat black is good, but if you're a hunter and just need something, at least you don't have to get out the can of paint/duracoat camo patterns. Kind of a hassle for some. That pattern should work out ok.

Well, I'm so impressed with the Poly M14 that I'm going to pick up my new Poly M14 at Epps tomorrow (Monday) and I'm super excited. When I get to Connaught Ranges for NSCC, I'll bring my degreasing goodies and report more discoveries about this 2009 batch of M14's.

Hungry when R U at connaught ranges for the NSCC, I could give U a hand on sundays with that degreasing job......;)

Ya I picked one up too.
This is before any documented reviews of them were available.

I have to admit though that this is the best built, best materials M14S I've owned since these Chinese rifles started coming into Canada. The rifle is rock solid and although I'm ready to shim if required I don't think the rifle needs it. The ping just seems to go on and on. I've never had that from a Norinco product.

I am going to replace the op rod guide AND A FLASH ARRESTOR W. BAYO LUG but I think thats about it. I'm one of those chaps that think a M14 needs to have a bayonette lug (so if you have one available pm me :) ). Sorry but I'm a traditionalist. I don't think that bedding is required - not loose - this sweet heart is TIGHT.

A few pics for you (just in case you hadn't seen enough).
Yes I know my front sight is out of skiew.

I'm glad to hear these new M14's are well made. I'm very pleased with my 2007 m14s. Hopefully this means we'll be seeing them manufactured and imported for years to come. Like many others I'm sure, I'm thinking about buying another...

I just bought one today, wasn't going to tell the wife, but visa called to confirm.....to the doghouse with me. It's kind of hard to explain why you need 3 of them.
