Holy #$%^

I shot the sks again today, I got a very nasty surprise.
I touched off the first round and the whole mag went off with one pull of the trigger.
I almost crapped myself.........:ar15:
Luckily I had a good grip on it and it was pointed into the bush.
I went home and gave it a thorough cleaning.
What the hell happened??????

This is a known issue. There is a website that has a fix for this. The company is in Texas. It's a firing pin with spring replacement if memory is serving me right. I have the link on another computer. When I find it, I will post it. Cheers!

Here it is: SKS Owners

Sign on the line and take the Queen's shilling my man...

Since it would mean possibly taking orders from lieberals and possibly having to defend those that vote for lieberals... :puke:

No thanks.

Yeah take apart the bolt and clean it. Also check to make sure you have positive sear engagement.

You obviously don't get the concept of "service". Google John Stuart Mill's quote on "War is an ugly thing..."

Why serve those that don't deserve your service?

"War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself."

I think that applies more to lieberals than it does to me. I'm an Albertan not a canadian and have been for a long time.

Oh and the most disturbing thing I found with my R-15 is it does not have that extra click on the selector like my issued rifle. :D

thats too bad,It's a pretty good country all over,A few wackjobs running things from time to time,But thanks for your support.
Canadians fought for our freedom,we are a strong county and we have been fighting to keep it that way,

statements like that make me have little love for you,And I would not want risk my life to fight for your safety

I get the point, but if it came down to it,I would take up arms to keep my country together,Its a stupid argument its about the economic stuff, and the lack of representation, I heard it and felt it in Alberta, you still have political pull as long as we have what others want.
Resources :)

stupid statement non the less

SKS Problem

Was the ammo used hunting or FMJ?

A friend of mine had an SKS out to the range and he wanted to see how his SKS would shoot with Federal hunting ammo. His gun discharged when he let the bolt close on the first round and the other couple of rounds went off each time the bolt closed.
He was told the primers are soft on commercial ammo and military primers are hard. He checked the bolt and the firing pin wasn't stuck it was free, it did the same thing when he tested it again.

It was hardball ammo from Europe somewhere. I tried some Yugo ammo and it didn't happen again, but I did clean it very well after that "incident".
