Anyone made there own with the same reamer they used for the gun.
I am pondering the idea for a 6mbr.
I don't have a seating die, I am using a .243 seating die. Would like to get less bullet runout. Im getting 0 to .005
Just looking for ideas/picks. I have the reamer/ lathe/material.
Thanks
Stephen

Seat the bullet half way then turn it 90 degrees and seat it all the way. It might take care of some of the runout? Other than that buy a Redding seating die.

Unless you can ream/drill/hone a perfectly round .2432-.2433 hole, I would buy the Forster or Redding BR seaters. The chamber reamer will remove some of the required material around the lead of the chamber, ideally the reamer should not have any leade in the throat area.

Like I said I don't have the proper seater. What fun would there be buying one.
I'm thinking a custom one is in order.
Hears the plan.
Use the reamer to cut the portion of the die that aligns the brass. The lead/throat area would have to be opened up to accommodate a very close fitting adjustable piece that actually touches the bullet as the shell is being pushed up into the die.
One other idea is the brass could be pushed up into the die and then the bullet seating part could be operated by a lever.
Just shooting some ideas around.
Thanks for the help guys.
