Home made spray case lube.

What you need are:-

Pump bottle.

Isopropyl alcohol 99% (not 70%)

Tube of Lee case lube.

Squirt 1" of lube into the bottle, add 4 - 6oz of Iso., shake well and spray cases. I use an old cookie sheet to lay out the case and roll them around. I tend to size the batch while the are wet.

YMMV.

After reading your post I am afraid that I may have to butcher a lamb, just to render the fat down into Lanolin. I honestly hope we are at this state of world supply issues because I love's me some BBQ!
Seriously, I just read the instructions in a set of Lee Dies. It states that Lee Lube can be mixed with 4 parts water, only if cases are left to dry.
So, what's the ratio of Lee case lube to Alcohol?

I always start off with a couple of doubles, then it’s 50 50 for the rest of the session.
Lol JK
i got 2 stuck cases just the other night, using the lanolin/isopropyl mixture.
I think it was the dies though, it was tight.

Resized all the brass tonight, once fired and was smooth as silk.

Try 4 parts alcohol to your lee stuff, you can adjust from there.

I use a 1-6 ratio with the Lee case lube to alcohol and mix it in the little spray bottles you can get at the dollar store. They provide more of a mist than a spray. Never had an issue.

Jeez,

You would think that someone would know where I can find these 2 items locally here in Edmonton.

I am phoning around and no one has either.

Amazon has them but my prime shipping doesn't cover it.

Regards
You can get both ingredients at G and E Pharmacy in Edmonton.

Perfect, Thanks ill try it.

I use spray cooking oil for large batches of 223. Works great. Put 100 or so cases in a large freezer bag, give a couple of shots of oil, seal and shake. I clean up the case feeder and drop tube once i'm done sizing a batch of cases.

I spread a thin layer of chassis lube (grease gun grease) on my lube pad. Every 2nd case I apply a very small amount to a q-tip to the inside of the neck. Then spray 7-8 at a time with brakleen (stuff for cleaning parts) and roll them in a terry cloth. Use brakleen on a q-tip and wipe out the inside of the necks. Works good for cleaning the carbon off the necks too. Works good for me, been doing this for years now.

For one of life's most embarrassing moments ask at the drug store for lanolin

I’m glad you posted that. I’m going to try and find me some nipple cream.
I did find castor oil. Will post my results once I get a chance and I try it

I mixed up a batch 20 to 1 with about 1/4 oz of olive oil in a 500 ml container, it thinned the lanolin out, made sizing smoother and clean off easier.
