Homeland Security

Homeland security is the same as HP9 by Norinco, I had opportunity to compare both of them, side by side, the Homeland Security (claimed to be Norinco made) has finish not as good (read: poor) as HP9 marked Norincos.

The Homeland Security IS not the standard HP9-1 (870 copy). More likely, the Homeland Security is the same as the 'Lawman' model.

Just as an example, look at the pics posted. The receiver's port is oval not the typical HP9/HP9-1 square hole.

There is also another pin.

I have one of these. So 870 barrels won't fit?
Never saw a clear answer on if the other 870 accessories fit. Can someone help me out.

What exactly is the difference with the magizine tube?

I am looking for a mag follower for mine and some rifle sights to be mounted on the barrel. Any suggestions for these?

thanks,

870 barrels will NOT FIT. I can 100% guarantee you that. The mag tube is a different length.

To be honest, I wouldn't bother putting ANY accessories into that pig. Mag follower, sure, rifle sights - forget it! It was hands down the WORST 870 'clone' I ever owned. And I've owned a LOT. The receiver has this weird hump near the stock, and the fit/finish was freeking terrible. Tons of sharp edges, and clunky action. Brutal.

You are MUCH better off to spend the extra $50 or so and get an HP9-1 or a Dominion Arms Grizzly. The Homeland Security ones are poo. Plain and simple.

Why not just buy an 870?

Why bother modding a cheap Chinese gun. If you're buying it for cheap, buy cheap and leave it at that. If you want a "custom gun" then get a quality piece with manufactureres add ons, or at least start with a quality piece.

I've seen too many people dress up a norinco with $100-$1000 worth of gunsmithgin and parts and shipping and labour charges and it is still a POS. By all means get the inexpensive norinco gear. But please just leave it as it is, as the only advantage is cost.

Just my 2 cents.
