Homemade airgun?

Anyone on here ever build their own airgun of any sort?

Hook up a bottle with a BBQ lighter to a blow gun(bought or home made). We put tooth pick darts thru 1 inch plywood at 10m. Even the paper cone fletching is embedded. Crazy.

There are a bunch of home made pneumatics on you-tube. Many use rainbird sprinkler valves as trigger mechanisms. Very interesting

Made one years ago from copper pipe and surgical tubeing. It was a muzzleloader and could use blowgun style darts, or a load of shot. It would drive a wire dart thru 3/4" plywood.
My buddy lost his thumbnail in the build process - just after I yelled, " Hey! Dont put your hand in there!"

I was thinking along the lines of a homebuilt pcp or springer.

Not a decent airgun per se. I thought of how to do it though, would be a fun project. We used to put 1.5 inch long rubber cigars on a 160 psi blow off air nozzle in my uncle's shop. When 'someone' would be sitting in the washroom, we'd shoot 60 feet across the shop, KA-BOOM went the hollow core door! Mayhem always ensued. Don't try this at home.
