I was just thinking about my (stolen) winch idea...

I guess one could forgo the cost of the winch and just use a stout come-a-long.

You can get a 2000 pound winch from Costco or Crappy Tire for about $60. Not as fancy as a Warn or Ramsey, but its also not $700. You need to make a custom bracket, but damn they work well for $60.
