Homemade orthoptic shooting glasses!

Howdy folks,

Got myself a camera finally so I've been taking lots of photos of past projects.

These are some shooting glasses I made from a plastic military lens and brass tubing. The plans are from here;

The pinhole drastically increases you depth of field, allowing you to focus on the rear sight, front sight and target at the same time! The blinder on the other eye allows you to keep it open, this really improves your vision as well.

While they do look rather silly, if your shooting with post and notch sights the difference is night and day! It's much more like having peep sights.

You can give the concept a try by punching a small (1/16") hole in some black tape and putting this on your shooting glasses. This is just the ticket for milsurp shooters and those with aging eyes.
