I'm looking to make a predator call to use for coyotes and maybe a wolf. I'm not interested in making an electronic caller at this time. I am aware of "kissing the back of your hand" to mimic a mouse but can anyone recommend a resource for making a distress call or post some pictures of how they made one? I'd rather try to make one with stuff around the house than go buy one.

Go top the dollar store and look at squeeky toys for dogs and kids. I found a few things that worked (make noise anyway, haven't hunted with them yet)
A dog toy and a cheap bicycle horn with the bulb removed, used like a trumpet, these both sound just like my $20 coyote calls.

It doesn't make noise but on a varmint hunting TV show I saw a real neat decoy that was just a fairly large upright spring that had a life-like toy rabbit pulled over the spring .The spring was attached to a flat tripod device/stand .
The spring was weak enough that the wind would move it back and forth . The hunter also had a long string(kite string?)tied to it to move it when a coyote showed interest
