The kid needs some direction but he does have some skills.
The cuts he made in his "choke" were well done as was the firing pin positioning.

If he did that with hand tools, I'm impressed.

it was not likely a one time use it was a have a gun to get a gun most likely passed down to someone else

This design is basically the same one used by the Polish resistance movement in World War II. A shotgun to be used to get better weapons from the enemy. interesting video, but I'd never make one, nor try to shoot one.
