Homemade SKS Peep sight

I made one. I used aluminum like a shoe behind the receiver. I removed the factory takedown pin and replaced it with a bolt. The peep sight was a small plate with a 1/16" hole drilled in it. It was bolted to the shoe through slotted holes. I didn't even remove the rear sight. It co-witnessed with the peep and post. I've since sold the rifle but will ask my buddy for a pic.

Made this simple peep from a Lee Enfield "L" sight.

Cut a notch in the receiver cover. Brazed the sight into position. Zero the rifle with issue sights and then braze peep into position that lines up with issue sights. Then remove the open sight and fine zero with the front sight.

Not a homemade option but have you ever looked into "tech sights"? They have a peep sight that clamps on the back of the receiver(with set screws, I believe)

Just watched this on youtube, looks like a good sight, it looks easy to install and has elevation and windage adjustments
$82 for the one with windage and elevation adjustments. I'm assuming this is Americain dollars, seems a bit pricey to me.
