They also have on in at The Shooting Edge in Calgary, if anyone else is looking for one. With only 500 made, I doubt there are too many in Canada.

I like it, as far as being overboard, well it is over the top and thats why you bought it if it was a plain sig 1911 it may not have cought your eye. I like having firearms that are conversation pieces one things for sure when you pull that out at the range people are going to want to see it and ask questions. From what I understand sig makes a nice 1911 so shoot the hell out of it.

Not a fan of crowded slides on 1911. Not really into POW/MIA/etc stuff either. As far as I know SIG makes a very good 1911 for the price. IMO as it's a limited run, it's probably more a collector piece than a shooter...

But it must be a great shooter nonetheless ;)
 
Only you can judge if you went "over board" on a purchase.

If it floats your boat that's all that counts.
