Was given these 32 spl cartridges today and apparently they're so old the lead either reformed or the bullet has been seated in further. All were stored upside down as shown for who knows how many years.

How differently do you think these will shoot? Does it matter if using irons at 100y?

Those look like handloads. It looks as if the bullets weren't crimped into the case, and the bullet was pushed in deeper from being stacked in the magazine.

It will raise pressures, and likely velocity, but there's no way of predicting how much.

Well - The risk is you are shooting someone else's reloads. General advice is to not shoot them, as you cant be assured of their performance in your rifle (eg hot loads, too long, etc). if you are a reloader you can pull them down, and reload them with a known powder charge, and reseat the bullets properly.
Or you can just shoot them. I doubt that you would notice a variance in accuracy, given you have iron sights. Start with the longest one, check for flattened primer, loud report etc. If we dont see you posting here in the near future, we know what happened.

I would listen to cosmics advice. I would never shoot any reloaded cartridge. Too many variables that can go sideways and put you horizontal forever. Pull and reuse cases and bullets.

Unless they came from a close trusted friend I knew was a competent reloader I would pull them down and reload with known powder, I would have no problem reusing the bullets, cases & primers.

Nah for iron sights an just shootin some targets , it wont matter.

i recently got 21 x .35 whelen reloads from a friend, of a old fulla who passed.

i pulled a couple to see what was in it an how much etc, reloaded them an just shot / hunted with them... they were FLS an loaded quite low..which suited me :)

gota know what is in em tho
