Was looking at a can( aerosol) of this today and noticed on the directions you could spray this down the barrel just be carefull not to coat the chamber.

I'm thinking this could be usefull in my pistols where I'm reloading with cast bullets.

Does anyone do this this to further protect from leading?

How about coating cast bullets with this?

I'm particularly interested in coating the barrel, will this change the preasures for my loads?

I have read of many using spray moly to coat barrels, although I have not done it myself. I use spray moly as a release agent on bullet moulds when casting. It works very well and creates a very smooth finish to the bullet.

I impact plate both jacketed and cast bullets. If impact plating cast, lube the bullets first, them place in the freezer for two hours before plating. Neglecting to freeze first will leave you with a black goo that refuses to completely dry. If you freeze first, you end up with a very nice finish.

Achieving an even coating of moly by spray may be a challenge, however it would have some lubricating effect.
