Anyone have any comments on the quality of the brass? I have been using military and Federal with acceptable results. May be able to get some Hornaday brass and heard it was pretty good.

I'd give the Hornady brass a big "Meh". I had better results overall with Winchester brass, in .308 - and I've settled on Lapua.

Not to say that it was bad. Just not as good as every other new brass that I tried.

I shoot a 7mm Remington Mag and I have tried federal-head failure, Remington- too much work and Winchester we wont go there!??... Hornady is the best for me. The flash hole are really good, not Lapua good, the necks I used to turn but ended up it was a waste of time. Seemed to take off the same amount all the way around on every case. Trimming cases is a snap also as they all are very close. For the price and not having to do much for the prep. I will shoot them.

Now if only Lapua made seven brass??? Hint! Hint!!!! WINK

Lapua does not however Norma does and we have some in stock.

OP The Hornady brass is much better than most brands, but as others pointed out NOT Lapua quality.

There was a thread a year or so back when someone discovered a winchester stamped case in a bag of new 45-70 hornady brass. Hornady sources their brass from various manufacturers.
