What is the general opinion on these 2 bullets
I am gonna use Varget powder with them through a Tikka 308...the Noslers are 150 grain and the Hornadays are 165's... any and all opinions will be appreciated :D

Accubond or Interbond

chola,

I have tried the Nosler Accubond 160gr but in my 7MMRemMag for moose hunting. I had the chance to shoot a nice cow at +- 800fts. I recovered one bullet and if I remember correctly, it kept around 65-70% of original weight. Good bullet and accurate enough for hunting.
Didn't try the Interbond but they seem to be in the same class/style of bullet as Nosler.

I've loaded both but have failed to get adequate accuracy from the Interbond. I use the 140 AB in my 270WSM.

A few of the head to head comparisons I've read had the Interbond ahead in weight retention but not by too much.

I figure go with the one that gives you the best accuracy and velocity that you think you'll need.

If you were to hit it right away, I don't really see the point in spending money on the other to come at best with the same results. Theres plenty of cheaper bullets for punching paper.

I have had difficulty getting good acuracy with the interbond in three rifles. the one time it worked it was way back of the rifling in a 7mm rem mag.

I use the 165gr Interbonds in my .300 WM, nice and flat and accurate too. You know the rifle... I loaded some for my neighbour in .308 and he liked them as well. Never tried the Accubond but Todbartel says they are ok....

I shot a nice cow moose this year with the Interbonds in my 338 Ultra mag. 225gr @3100fps, shoots MOA or under, depending on the shooter. Recovered bullet weight was 185.5gr. The Accu and the Interbonds shoot the same in my Rifle, so I use the cheaper of the two....

I just loaded a bunch of the hornady 165s and tried them at the range using 4064 powder.. They groups very nicely actually and will likely become my hunting bullet

I think Boer Sun means he uses the combo he mention.

I use 150gr Interbonds with varget and they work excellent in my .308. Also load both the 130gr Interbond and the 140gr Accubond in my 270WSM the accuracy edge goes to the Interbond, but as my rifle was doing double duty last year as a deer/elk rifle the nod went to the Accubond for the heavier weight. It worked very well on the 4 deer I shot with it last year. All one shot drops and very little meat damage. Ranges were from 35 to 125yds.

both will be wicked deer bullets in a 308

The accubond will shoot better in the average rifle, but the interbond is usually no slouch

you probably dont *need* bonded premiums in a 308, but they certainly dont hurt...:D

If they will shoot in your rifle go for it.
the 270 IB's seem to be a bit problimatic, I know 4 guys with a variety of 270's (WSM and Win) that cant get the IB's to shoot worth a hoot.
My 300WSM just loves the 165 IB's, as did a buddies 30'06.

Same here, in my .270, but with the Accubond, I can't group better then 2-2 1/2/100yds  . Didn't try them in my .308 yet. I will get the 180gr when ready.

Good luck

I am playing with the 154gr in both my 7 Mauser and the Inlaw's 7mag.
Both are looking to be right at or under MOA but I want to do some more shooting to make sure it is for sure before I say they shoot a 1/2" group and stir up the naysayers.

We are using the Accubonds in the 300 SAUM, 200gr and will report our findings. We were plagued by rain last time out so the shooting session was quite rushed.:(
