I like Ruger and Hornady. I also like to see 'new' products and offerings in the gun market - it gives us something to talk about, right?
However, I will not be buying a 300RCM based on Hornady's published data. Comparing a 20" barrel and a 165gr bullet @ 3030fps and my .308win with a 165gr bullet at 2800 fps (22" barrel) ... well at the ranges I usually hunt at, this is not significant enough to make any difference for me.
I wish Ruger and Hornady luck, but I don't think they'll fly.
