Any of you guys have experience with hornady`s 22-250 55gr V-Max round, rated at 3680 fps? ie accuracy and performance on small game ie coyotes?

I haven't used this ammo, I reload for mine. You should get good performance on coyotes with any 22-250 factory ammo, it's definatley a coyote round. I've used all kinds of bullets from 45 gr JHPs, 50 gr Poly-tipped, 60 gr BTHP, 64 gr SPs, they all kill coyotes and anything smaller.

I also reload all my own ammo but in the past i was using 55gr sierra Blitz Kings around the 3700fps mark.. so right in your nabour hood.. Excellent for coyotes. little to no pelt damage and knockes em flat... i have since moved to 50gr V max only cause for a while it was all i could find available. (being able to push them around 4000 fps is a plus as well :D).. I have also tried many other bullets and seems no matter what u throw at the coyotes.. there all poison and the dog just falls over dead.
regards
Josh

Spoke with a guy using 53 gr V-Max in his .223 on coyotes and he's been super happy with the results although he is looking forward to trying the 40 gr. in his reloads.

This is my go to round for my older Rem 700 22-250 (SS heavy barrel completely stock) and is so accurate (.5 MOA all day long) that I have never bothered to work up a load for the last 20 years. Phil.
