Hornady 300 xtp mag sabots

Looking to take the smoke pole out and picked up some hornady xtp 300 mag sabots. I know every gun is different just wondering if anyone cheap like me can comment on the performance on game for this sabot.

They work okay, especially on deer sized game. I've killed lots of moose, elk and even musk ox with them but I'd personally look for something with better construction for the bigger stuff now a days. At one time, they were the only real choice in a sabot.

The 300 grain XTP (not the Mag) in a short pedal MMP sabot is my go too. There relatively cheap, can be bought in bulk and my Knight loves them, but the trade off is the occasional cup / core separation. I don't get to wrapped up about it as there will always be a better bullet / mousetrap / hair replacement therapy out there.
