With the lee whack a mole you should be able to get a crimp on the brass.

Yes, Lee whack-a-mole set will crimp any length of brass. Resizing works as well although it only neck sizes, and only does about 3/8" or so of the neck, so with Hornady brass the resized portion will be very short. It may affect how much tension you get on the bullet. The only downside to the crimping procedure is that it depends on how hard you whack it. It does work well though, I've been loading .45-70 with one for years. I don't shoot it much so figured it wasn't worth getting dies.

You will need to buy hornady die set to get a crimp on them.
My rcbs and lee dies will bottom out before they crimp

I use the Hornady brass in my single shots and don't crimp...
