For years when Ontario had a population of groundhogs all I ever used in a 22-250 was 52gr Sierra hollow point boat tail match bullets. Never had a problem with expansion. Now I am using 53gr Hornady hollow point match on coyotes. They kill extremely well. They anchor bush mutts right in their tracks, at least any I have shot. The ticket is to drive them fast enough. I drive mine at about 3500 to 3600.
