Hi there. Anyone know where I can find some Hornady 6.5 PRC brass in this Country? I have a Savage Ultralight with the Proof barrel waiting for me at my local gun store and a couple boxes of factory ammo but I really want to handload for this bad boy. I’ve also got the Leupold Freedom 6-18x40 CDS waiting. I can’t wait to get this guy out to the range then maybe for late season Saskie whitetail.

Skip the Hornady, buy Gunwerx from Precision Optics if they still have any. I started with Hornady, and was very disappointed in the quality. I then purchased some Gunworx, and groups tightened up, and no more issues.

I found that with the Hornady cases, I had to anneal after every firing to maintain the neck tension. A friend had a neck break off of a prc case and remain stuck into the chamber on the third firing. I weighed ten Hornady cases, and the weight varied by three full grains. With the Gunwerx cases, the weight was within .3 grain. Groups with Hornday cases were over 1/4" larger than with the Gunwerx cases.

I do have a cpl spare boxes of new Hornady 6.5 PRC brass if you want it.

Hornady brass has been hit or miss with me, generally though, their marketing baby cartridges are decent. Others not so great.
