Hornady A-Max 155 for M14

Anyone tried this bullet for their M14 at 500m and beyond? Looking for an alternative to the usual 168 BTHP for 500m portion of the Service Condition matches.

Works exceedingly well. I shot mine over Benchmark, Fed 210M primers in Win cases. Was able to hit clays at 550yds quite often.

I have shot thousands of them at 300 to 1000 yards out of bolt rifles. At all distances I think it a better bullet than the 168. Less wind drift.

Work up a load with a 175 grain Matchking. Unless you're shooting Palma matches.

Bullets heavier then 155gr should not be used in a M1A/M305 without substantial mods to keep the operating parts from breaking/wearing quickly.
