Hi guys. Does anyone know where to find Hornady zombie ammo? I know that Canada ammo had them before. They dont appear on the site surely they dont sell or have anymore.

Thanks

Most gun stores that carry Hornady ammo should have it or at least be able to order it.
There is nothing special about it other than the green tip instead of the red. From what I've read it's the same as v-max for the lighter bullets and a-max for the heavier bullets for the caliber. Just a fancy box and a green tip.
No more or less effective against zombies than the normal stuff.

You know something we don't?:d

It is still readily available. Our ammo wholesaler has it in stock - a fair bit actually, I just ordered a couple of cases last week - it's overpriced compared to the "non-zombie" stuff that is "exactly the same", save the packaging, but it does sell fast when I bring it in :)

So yes, any shop that sells Hornady can get it in - you may just have to ask..

Over here z-max is actually 2$ a box cheaper than v-max...

Guys it says it's for zombies, it's clearly better than the v max. Which is not for zombies.
Just sayin

Finally....the voice of reason

it also clearly states on the box how to positively identify a zombie.

checked into this for my .308 - they used Hornady Match Brass , not sure about the .223 but I was buying it just for the brass after.

There is no such thing as Zombies, so why would anybody want Zombie ammo. Maybe it is time to start marketing Martian or Alien ammo. Pure marketing genius by whoever started that whole thing, to pray on peoples lack of ...

Believe it or not it was the boss, Steve Hornady who came up with the idea. I was at the factory a couple of years ago when his son Jason showed us the sample and box. I thought it was a joke they played on people touring the factory. Jason said almost everyone in the management team were against the idea but Steve prevailed and it has been an outstanding success with them not being able to keep up with initial demand. Steve and Jason are down to earth guys and most of our time in meeting with Steve at this years Shot Show was talking about dogs. Phil.

Because most people take this gun thing too seriously and have no sense of humour. I am for one think that the zombie ammo is a great idea. It brings a chuckle to everyone. Why not?
