Long story short bought a hornady autocharge of a nice feller on here I have so far only tried h414 in it. I can already see that I`m going to like it the only problem is when I check it with my RCBS 5-0-5 scale it`s constantly throwing .3 to .2 grains lighter. For example I would program it to measure a charge of 45.5 grains and the RCBS would show 45.3. It is quite consistent though am just wondering if anybody else has experienced this. I do calibrate it every time and let it warm up

Check both with a known weight, if you don't have check weights. Balance beam scales need to be consistent, but most times are not "accurate". It's a good bet the 505 is off a little, which doesn't matter much when you work a load up with it, and use it for that load.

I always use check weights, and two scales just to confirm the actual charge weight, after that I just use one and load away!!!

I have no experience with the Hornady version, but what happens if you take the charge off, let it stabilize, then set it back on, and stabilize again. Does it still weigh light on that charge?

Weigh the same charge two or three times minimum on each scale and note the results. Do this with several charges of varying weights.

I left it on overnight and wiped it down with a dry cleaner sheet. I also fiddled with the trickle speed a bit. Its dead on accurate now and both scales match up. I loaded 20 rounds and they were always within .05grains of each other.
