Hornady brass primer pocket problems

Hi, I'm having big problems seating Federal Match primers in 243 Win Hornady brass from fired commercial Hornady ammo.
One of my friend has the same problem with 308 Win Hornady brass from fired Hornady Match ammo.

Is this a general problem?
Am I doing something wrong?

RCBS hand priming tool. It works wonderfully on 270 WSM Winchester brass and Winchester WLR primers. It's a nightmare on 243 Win Hornady brass and Federal Match primers.

Priming tool shouldn't matter. This sounds like the sort of problem you'd expect with military brass. For ####s and giggles, you could try reaming a piece or two slightly with your neck reaming tool. Better yet, contact Hornady. They're excellent to deal with and may just have a simple answer for you.

I bought 375 Ruger unprimed brass and about 10% of the primer pockets were not deep enough. A Lyman primer pocket uniformer will fix that.

Uniform the primer pocket

As in, they (or many) don't seat all the way and stick out a bit? Then you need a uniformer as mentioned.

As in, they (or many) don't want to enter the primer pocket at all? Then it is most likely crimped-in primers.

Thanks, I wrote Hornady and they advised me to get a primer pocket uniformiser.
I might simply buy Winchester brass instead!
