Thr trimmate doesn't actually trim like the hornady.

Add the price of a decent trimmer with all the pilots, etc and your running about the same cost.

I trim .223 with mine, cost me 6 bucks to add it...way cheaper than 200 hundred more for the Hornady

Just buy a Lee trimer and corresponding gage to screw into it for the caliber you want to trim, drill hole in the bottom of it to tap it to 8/32 I believe is the size for the trim mate, install a set screw of proper size to thread into the trim mate station and trim away, you will need to use the lee shell holder as the stop for the depth gage when trimming ... I have done 2000 pieces so far with no problems...

You can also take a Hornady chamfer tool and install a set screw in it and mount it on the trim mate, it works way better for crimped primer pockets and on the inside mouth of the brass than the rcbs tools because there are 5 cutting edges not two
