Hornady Case Prep Centre Info

Hey looking for info and opinions on the Hornady Case Prep Centre.

Does anyone have opinions? I use a case prep trio, wouldn't mind have trimming right there as well. A buddy bought and uses that new Franfurt Arsenal Platinum Case Prep Centre, and it's pretty slick. I'm tired of trimming with hand tools...

Will it trim long cartridges like the .338 Lapua?

I am very pleased with the RCBS Universal Case Prep Center.

I have the hornady unit, it functions very well. My only complaint is that it turns a little bit slower than I would think a motorized version should. I did have to send mine back to Hornady for a warrenty claim (the motor mounts broke) however they did cover the shipping both ways and had it back to me within a month. Overall I am satisfied that I bought one.

If I wasn't trimming revolver cartridges though, I would stick to my Forster case trimmer as it is a little bit more accurate. Unless you are trimming a couple hundred 357, 44mag, 223 rem, or even 308 I wouldn't bother. For precision reloading at the cost of a 338 Lapua I would just do everything by hand.

Thanks guys. I started looking at the RCBS as well. I like the micro meter adjustment and the shellholder, but I have all the hornady trimmer parts already.... Ungh. Maybe just go Quicktrim for all. Thing seems to work like a charm with 1 thou clicks for adjustment....
