I just sent this off to Hornady's Customer Service. Do you guys think that they'll come through for a valued customer?

Hello, I have a Hornady LNL AP press with a case feeder and a lot of other Hornady reloading gear. I recently went through a nasty divorce and my ex-wife thought it would be a good idea to take the rubber cap off of the powder throw. Her reasoning that brought her to performing this disgusting act still eludes me to this day. Perhaps it was because she was complete pshyco, I don't know. I was wondering if Hornady could do one of their valued customers a solid and send me a new rubber lid for my powder throw.

99% chance they'll send you a replacement part. Sometimes you don't need a full detailed explanation coated in honey to catch bees but I'll give ya points for creativity. :)

I snapped that little plastic arm that holds the primer guide rod. Told them I think I 'f'ed up and accidentally snapped it, they sent me two replacements that arrived a week later. Good guys at Hornady.
 
Um, I'm thinkin' that you didn't think this through. Chances are good that the person in the office is a woman. YOU just called another woman a "complete psyco". I really think your request will hit the garbage bin before anyone else sees it. Just MHO...C.

LOL, they must've taken offense to your "complete psycho" remark. The two times I called Hornady, it's been ladies answering the phones. Same at RCBS and Lee. I've never had to pay for shipping, knock on wood. Keep it simple and straight to the point. These folks have heard every excuse out there. I worked a call center once in my college days, I'd give better service to someone who told me they honestly f'ed up by clicking on an email attachment and got a computer virus than someone who says "I didn't do anything! I don't know how it got there!" :p
 
Hornady just sent me a free intermediate drop tube for my LNL case feeder (for 40s&w) and a shim for my RT1200

All free with no shipping

You probably can make a new lid for your powder hopper with some plastic dip (the stuff for dipping tool handles in)
