Probably start seeing them closer to spring. I want to try a box in my 338-06. I think this bullet will work well at 2600 fps MV, good blend of expansion and penetration. Inexpensive too

I was thinking the same. My 338-06 and 338wm could share the same bullets. Easier for me. Higginson powders said likely spring. Thanks Tod

Just ordered a box from X-reload from my 338WM 20". $62/100 apparently. I'm curious if they are just an SST with new tip. I'll try to shoot a bear this spring to find out. I'm usually under 100yds so if it's explosive I'll see it.

I used 200gr eld-x in my 300RUM to take two deer this year. Both at 50' and hit through the boiler room. Exit/entrance wounds were not explosive. Insides were scrambled.
