Do not have a 7mm but I have developed a accurate load for the 300 win mag using 200 gn hornady eld-x bullets. I have used h4831, imr 7828, imr4831, reloader22 and some h450 all with good results. There was little to no difference in powders all of which are slow burning powders. However OCL was important. These bullets would not shoot very well until I seated them out to 10 thousands off the lands and then they were super accurate. Sierra pro hunters shoot very well at standard seating depth so does Nosler partition and hornady interlocs. But these eld-x bullets are fussy about seating depth in my gun and have heard from others the very same complaint. I know reloaders that have given up on them because they get better accuracy out of the cheaper bullets. Hornady is cashing in on the Berger bullet popularity with long range target shooters and hunters. Makes sense since Hornady is in business to make money. These bullets are all over the shelves in huge numbers. Hornady is pushing them in a big way. I am sticking with them for the 300 win mag but it was a pain to find the proper bullet seating depth to get them to preform. My 270 and 30-06 will not be shooting these bullets. If it aint broken do not fix it both of thoes guns are very accurate rifles shooting Nosler partition bullets which are pretty hard to beat for performance on game. I hope you get things right because eld x bullets when tuned in are super accurate. How they preform on game is anyone's guess at this point.
