Hornady Free Bullets Promo

Has anyone here participated in the Hornady free bullets promo?

The form says offer valid in the US and Canada only. They want a cheque or money order in US funds for the shipping and handling. Don't want to send a cheque if they won't make it across the border.

Looking for success stories on this, not speculation.

Last time around I think it took guys a year or more to get their bullets.

Last time I checked it was more expensive to pay for the shipping than buying them here.

You save about $15 a box compared to buying local. It takes about 3 or 4 months to get them.

A few years ago, I learned a valuable lesson from the promo. At that time, I wasn’t familiar with the American exporting laws and I had the bullets shipped to me at a depot on the US side of the border. When I went over to pick them up, I told the US customs officer what I was doing and was promptly informed that I could not cross back into Canada with the bullets without an Export Permit. So I had to call Hornady for a return authorization number and sent them back. By the way, US customs stopped me on my way back to Canada to make sure that I wasn’t sneaking them across. Once I got home I placed my order again and they arrived at my door about 3 weeks later. I believe that Korth Group in Alberta was their Canadian agent at that time. I didn’t care for the bullets anyway, so took them to the local gun shop and swapped them for a couple of boxes of Partition.
