I have a Hornady hand primer tool.
I misplaced one of the punches but I'm not quite sure if it's the small or large one.
This is because when using the Hornady (Black) tray it works well on small primers.
When using the RCBS (green) tray it gets jammed hard in the RCBS shell holder.

If someone wouldn't mind measuring the diameter of the 2 pins and letting me know what they are it would be much appreciated.

If I remember correctly, the green tray has different size holes on either side to accomodate the big and small primer pin.

Both trays do.
On the green tray the pin I have gets jammed on the small primer side.
On the black tray the pin doesn’t get jammed on the small primer side.
On the large primer side of both trays the pin seems too sloppy but I don’t want to order the wrong part.
I am using the correct shell holders for both.
Hornady for the black, and RCBS for the green.

Without me seeing it for myself all I can suggest is to make sure it's assembled properly and oriented in the proper direction. I found mine worked best with the primer dish oriented opposite the squeeze handle. If that doesn't help you out then the cheapest and easiest option would be to get a lee shell holder and use the black dish instead. Matt

RCBS shell holders are not compatible with that tool. It took me some frustration and expense to realize that. you must use Hornady shell holders, RCBS shell holders have the centre hole too small in diameter. Shame on Hornady.

thanks for that, did not notice that the RCBS shell holders ARE compabile. IF you read the manual. Instructions? I don't need no stinkin' instructions..LOL
