We are spoiled because there are so many bullet options now.
The second part of our problem, collectively is, we want a single bullet that will do everything for us. And as hard as the premium mfg's try, they still can't come up with one that will do it all.
Some of us shoot "slow" and some shoot at uber-magnum velocities and that's why asking a general question like "what bullet" doesn't often help much.
I shoot a 7 mm but it's a 7.08 not a 7mmRM.
So if I take the word of the guy shooting the RM that the 150 TTSX is THE bullet I might be somewhat disappointed or even lose game because while he can make 3000 fps at the muzzle I can only make 2500.
Out at 200 yards he will still get decent expansion out of a mono bullet, I may not.
If he used a round nose soft point it may vaporize @ 50 yards, I may get a perfect mushroom and an instant kill.
That's why your "Intended" terminal speed is more important in choosing a bullet that will do "what you want".
I don't want a pass through, others consider the bullet a failure if it doesn't.
But if you are shooting uber-speeds and picking a bullet that will work @ 200+ yards you have to expect that it could give you "significant problems" if you choose to fire at 50 yards.
