Hornady interbond???

As I understand it, the performance of the Hornady IB bullets left a lot to be desired, especially when used on game. All I've ever used them on is a number of 'innocent' stumps that 'volunteered' for target practice and the results were dramatic/impressive. The only ones I've used are the 300gr RN IB in a custom 375 H&H my Son In Law lent me to 'play' with and the 500gr RN IB in my 458 WM and both did well on paper.

I also had "iffy" accuracy with the Interbond Hornady offerings, both 150 and 165 grain permutations.

The regular Interlocks have always performed well, so not sure what the issue might be.

Regards, Dave.

I shoot 225gr Interbonds in my Tikka T3 338 Win Mag. It took a few different powders to find one that would make them shoot. 3 shots 1" @100 yds with H4831 and they wouldn't group well at 2800 so I dropped it to 2700fps and they settled down. They seem to be a finicky bullet.

While on the topic of those Hornady IB bullets, I've recently acquired a Winchester model 70 Super Express in 375 H&H and wouldn't mind trying some in it to see how they perform on paper. Any 300gr IB's floating around out there anyone is willing to part with?
