Hallo all
This past deer season I used 180gr hornady Interbond bullets out of a 30/06.
I absolutely love them, nice penetration and expansion was just wondering who els uses them and what results did you get?

I used a 150 gr out of my .30-06 a couple of years ago on a fairly nice 4 point mulie. It was a broad side shot @ about 150, so it was complete penetration. Good results... got a nice mount back from the taxidermist man!

I used it on a whitetail was a long shot and hit it up the ass bullet exited at the lower ribs no meat loss on the butt just a round little hole, and a hole of about 6" in diameter where it exited, broke 2 or 3 ribs which may be the reason for the large exit hole
I was impressed but have yet to try it on a broad side shot. That's why I am asking.

I too used the 165's over 54 grn of IMR 4350, in my .06. A slightly better than 200 yard shot at a nice mulie. Hit him in the brisket, bullet blew out two vertabre in the base of the neck and tunneled it's way down the spine to the hips. Dropped like a rock.
So far so good.

180's were deadly accurate outa my Savage and really held together well thru wet/ frozen phone books and you gotta love the price.

The SST is a very explosive bullet, the core is not bonded and it can fragment a very high velocities. THe Interbond has a bonded core which results in more weight retention and the jacket does not separate from the core.

I used 165 Interbonds last year on a black bear out of an 06 and they worked really well. One shot into the shoulder and out the other side the bear ran 20 yards!

Boer, I used a 225gr Interbond out of my 338 Ultra Mag to take a cow moose. The shot came at 50yrds, took out both shoulders, lungs and was under the hide on the far side. She went maybe 5 yrds. The bullet came back to me at 185.5gr, and a nice mushroom to boot! I used 90gr of H4831sc with a Fed 215 primer. I am sold on the Interbonds.
