Last weekend I loaded up some rounds for a hunting buddies 300Win Mag. I loaded Nosler E-Tip 180 grainers, 168 Hunting VLDS, and 180 grain interbonds. The noslers and bergers shot great and ladder testing seemed successful at 300M. However, the interbonds didn't do so well. I started a ladder test at the lowest charge recommended by Hodgedon using H4831, the first shot was extremely hard to eject the spent shell and sometimes wouldn't pull the brass out I needed to knock it out with a dewey rod. When I got home I double checked the powder weights and there were no suprises there, all within published limits. Has anybody else had this problem with the interbonds before? I also checked the diameter of the bullets and they came out at .308 as advertised and verified seating depth to confirm that they were .040" off the lands. I would really like to know why I was seeing such high pressure problems
Any advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Evan
