Hornady LNL AP Casefeeder Help

I just a bought the whole package Hornady LNL AP with the case feeder but when installed everything I found out that the shell plate is a bit tight and .223 cases get stuck in the shell plate or sometimes doesn’t even fit in the shell plate and another problem I have is that the V Block for the case feeder doesn’t place the case in to the shell plate properly. Anyone here has the same package and knows what to do PLEASE HELP ME. This wasn’t what I expected from Hornady

Sorry, I don't have the case feeder yet, but if you don't get answers on here that help you solve the issue, try what I'd do - call Hornady, support is free and they know their stuff...

Its probably not a issue with the equipment but a issue with the set-up...Did you watch the video that came with it? The case feeder and adjustments that need to be made take time and trial and error to get things correct, sounds like its a timing issue with the activation rod on the brass shuttle, loosen the lock nut and adjust it till it works properly...

It takes very little movement to get big changes in the timing, the biggest thing with them is for the operator to be smooth in operation of the handle, it may take a little practice to get smooth...

You shouldn't have to leave it loose, and this would be poor advice the OP. Tighten it up and adjust the timing as JOJOPINTO has suggested.

i tried every single setup and none worked, it felt like the shellplate dosent except the case after some more reading i found out that some of the shellplate #16 have small lips and that is why the case does not sit properlyi need to call hornady but dont know if they ship shellplates to canada

Re: the V-block. I saw one guy do a mod to it, making a little bracket out of a paper clip so that the tip would push the brass at the bottom, where the groove is. It helped the cases to go in without tipping. Have a look:

Tried that once - made a bit of a difference. For me, the biggest thing is to keep the feed path clean and dry. Debris and/or oil/grease creates drag on the shell base and problems ensue. It's easy to wipe down.
